Credit Union Supports American Red Cross

HEATH / NEWARK, OH March was Red Cross month and Hopewell Federal Credit Union celebrated with a variety of fundraising items to mark the occasion.� Fundraising efforts included the sale of Everyday Hero cards for one dollar at their Heath and Newark locations, Bake Sale, and Red Cross t-shirt sales.� Over the course of the month, Hopewell Federal Credit Union raised $650.00 which was presented to director, Rod Cook, on April 11th, 2014.

The mission of the American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.� Each Friday all members of the Hopewell Federal staff wore red t-shirts highlighting notable statistics about this organization including:

�������� Every 60 seconds 250 people are assisted by the American Red Cross

�������� 3000,000 times a day a child receives a measles vaccination from the Red Cross and our partners

�������� 200 times a day Red Cross volunteers help a family affected by a house fire or disaster

�������� 32,000 times a day a person receives lifesaving Red Cross health, safety & preparedness training

�������� 380 times a day Red Cross connects Armed Forces members with their families
