dupageNAPERVILLE IL DuPage Credit Union recently partnered with the DuPage Regional Office of Education to launch the Weve Got Your Back One Backpack at a Time fundraiser to help raise funds to purchase basic school supplies for local students in need. Monetary donations are being accepted through July 7th and can be made online at dupagecu.com/community or at Branch Office: Bloomingdale, 202 S. Gary Ave.; Downers Grove, 725 Ogden Ave.; Naperville, 790 Royal St. George Dr.; and Wheaton, 625 E. Roosevelt Rd. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used to purchase backpacks and basic supplies needed throughout the school year, such as paper, pencils, erasers, calculators, etc. "Our goal is to raise $10,000, which will help 500 students," said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions. "Although a backpack may seem like a small gesture, to many of these kids, its the spark that encourages lifelong learning and success, by knowing someone cares about their future." The backpacks will be given to students attending the DuPage Regional Office of Educations Annual Back-to-School Fair on August 6th at the Odeum in Villa Park.
