Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening with Charitable Contributions

sentinelgrandopen1Box Elder, SD - Sentinel Federal Credit Union celebrated the grand opening of their Radar Hill Road Branch on Sat., April 26, in Box Elder, SD. The newest branch is located along Radar Hill Road near Creekside Estates, at 22752 Mule Deer Trail. The credit union held a ribbon cutting ceremony, with approximately 60 credit union employees, board members, credit union members and guests in attendance.�� CUADs Corey Prince also attended the event, and provided the photos for this story. During the grand opening, the credit union gave away prizes, including a drawing for a $1,500 grand prize cash award. �Between April 1 and 26 Sentinel FCU opened 24 new checking accounts and funded 122 loans!� Each of those members qualified for the $1,500 grand prize drawing and 7 members received an additional entry for opening the checking account and/or loan at the new branch.� Congratulations to the grand prize winner, Elizabeth Blair from Box Elder! All attendees took a spin on the "prize wheel" for a chance to win one of 50 prizes provided by 11 area businesses, or a logoed credit union item.� A new member from the Radar Hill Road branch won a one night stay at the Lodge in Deadwood.� He was the first member to spin the wheel on Saturday.� There was also free food, including pulled pork sandwiches and pizza for all attendees and face painting and games for the kids.� Volunteers that helped with the grand opening were entered into a drawing for an iPad mini. As part of the celebration, the credit union made a donation of $500 to the Yellow Bike Program, which repairs and gives away about 85 bikes annually at Christmas time.� The credit union also made a donation of $3,000 to the Airman & Family Readiness, which supports family programs on Ellsworth AFB.
