Deer Park, TX Shell Federal Credit Union and the City of Pasadena partnered together to host the areas first Volunteer Expo. The event was designed to encourage individuals of all ages to give back to their communities. Many individuals are in need of volunteer hours or simply want to give back, but are unaware of the many opportunities within their communities. Over 35 local nonprofit organizations setup to spread the word on giving back and featured their volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Expo was held on April 8
th, 2014 at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, Texas from 4PM to 7PM. There was no entrance fee and over 200 attendees came for a chance to win over 30 door prizes and an iPad Mini.
