duluthDULUTH MN- In honor of April bring financial literacy month, Minnesota organizations are encouraging kids to be smart about their money. People from the Minnesota Credit Union Network and the Minnesota Power Credit Union met at the Duluth Children's Museum Thursday to talk about the importance of financial literacy. They say it's all about planning for the future. "There's nothing like the future when you start to talk about kids and working with children and helping them to understand the importance of understanding how to use money and how important that is to their future," Mark Cummins from the Minnesota Credit Union Network said. The Duluth Children's Museum has an interactive "Moneyville" exhibit that gives kids handson tours about the concepts and decisions involved with finances.
