madisonANDERSON For the seventh year in a row, Madison County Federal Credit Union will match all combined donations to its Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Fund up to $5,000. The fund, benefiting local organizations, is dedicated to fighting and preventing child abuse locally. "Children under the age of 5 are most at risk of abuse and neglect," David Dodd, CEO of the credit union, said in a press release. "As a local business, we can do something about it. Thats what our Blue Ribbon Fund is all about." The donation match to the Blue Ribbon Child Abuse Fund is focused on the weeks leading up to the annual Bids for Kids Auction taking place April 25 and 26 on Comcast Channel 3. All funds raised support the auctions efforts to prevent child abuse in Madison County. Those interested can donate directly at any Madison County Federal Credit Union branch or take part in one of their fundraising events including Friday bake sales, in-branch contests, and the purchase of Blue Ribbon ribbons, bracelets and magnets.
