Peach State Federal Credit Union Donates Food to Duluth Cooperative Ministries

peachstateDULUTH, GA Peach State Federal Credit Union has made a large donation of food to the Duluth Cooperative Ministries, an organization formed to provide effective, efficient ministry to Gwinnett county residents in need. Non-perishable food items were collected at each of Peach States 13 branches throughout the first quarter of 2014 generating the sizable donation. This donation is the first of an ongoing plan to make quarterly donations to various food banks throughout Peach States footprint in its seven county service area. "The well being of our members and our surrounding community is truly important to us. This donation is a great representation of our dedication to giving back to the communities that supports us," said Peach State President/CEO Marshall Boutwell. According to city-data.com, 14% of Gwinnett county residents are living in poverty. Unfortunately, this means that there are many hungry families throughout the county who just arent getting enough to eat. "We also have a thrift store on site to ensure that all of their needs are met."
