"Being in the hospital can be stressful for children, so the Childrens Hospitals of Orange County and Los Angeles make every effort to provide opportunities for fun and play during their stay," said L.J. Tarman, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at NuVision Federal Credit Union. "Toy donations from the community are a key part of this effort, and they are needed year-round, not just during the holidays." Childrens Hospitals of Orange County and Los Angeles offer group activities in their numerous playrooms as well as bedside activities for pediatric patients. They also help patients and their families celebrate special occasions such as holidays and birthdays in the hospital. The generous toy donations received from the community help greatly in all of these areas. New toys are needed for children of all ages, but there is a specific need for toys geared toward children under the age of five and teens. "NuVision is proud to once again support these incredible organizations for the benefit of children in our community," added Tarman.
