CaptureTEXAS CITY, Texas On Thursday, March 20, 2014 AMOCO Federal Credit Union held their Select Partner Appreciation luncheon at the Hilton hotel in Nassau Bay. Over 29 businesses and organizations joined AMOCO for the first Select Partner Appreciation quarterly luncheon of the year. During these luncheons, AMOCOs Select Partners have the opportunity to network and promote each of their businesses or organizations. This year AMOCO decided to spotlight four companies at the luncheon; two businesses and two non-profit organizations. The spotlight tables included:
  • Hope Village- represented by Roger Proulx, who was there to promote Hope Villages Passport to the World of Wine event on April 5th.
  • Lunas Mexican Restaurant- represented by Crystal Ivey, who was there to promote Lunas restaurant on Highway 96 in League City.
  • Minuteman Press & Big Daddy Marketing- represented by Jim Sweeney, who was there promoting both of his businesses.
  • United Way Galveston County Mainland- represented by Lindsey White, who was there promoting their other services including: volunteer income tax assistance.
Kent Hutchison, guest speaker from the C.J. Baxter Group, delivered an entertaining speech to inspire the businesses and organizations about customer service. No matter where you work we all have to provide the best service back to the people. Kent talked about "creating raving fans" by "sharpening your saw," meaning one should constantly be improving and building their relationship with the people you interact with. AMOCO would like to thank: the Hilton Hotel for providing the great venue and delicious food, our four spotlight tables that featured their businesses or organizations, and Kent Hutchison for his inspiring speech.
