Credit Union Foundation Donates $10,000 to Wilderness Works

METRO ATLANTA-The Associated Credit Union Foundation surprised its newest charitable partner, Wilderness Works, with a $10,000 donation during Associated Credit Unions employee training.
Bill Mickler, Executive Director of Wilderness Works�talked to�Associated CU employees on�what�Wilderness Works' programs�provide children�in the community. Afterward, Associated CU employees that had recently volunteered with the group surprised Mickler with a check for $10,000.
"We at Wilderness Works have a number of partners but are noticing how relationship-oriented the Associated Credit Union Foundation is and we are thrilled.� We look forward to strengthening our bonds between their team members and our children.� We were a bit shocked, in a good way, to receive a wonderful contribution at the ACU Foundation training meeting!� We are so grateful,"�said Mickler.
Wilderness Works is a youth development agency serving homeless and disadvantage children living primarily in Dekalb and Fulton Counties. Wilderness Works is based just north of Zoo Atlanta and provides needy children with mentoring and experiential education through field trips, summer camps and sleepovers sponsored by groups like the ACU Foundation.
The Associated Credit Union Foundation,�which began in 2009,�is a 501(c) 3 organization that strives to promote the social and economic well-being for the community and the employees of companies served by Associated Credit Union.
