CaptureEmployees, family and friends of First Trust Credit Union, joined thirty-seven other teams showing off their bowling expertise (in some cases), in support of the La Porte County Junior Achievement Annual Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser. This year the event was held at City Lanes in Michigan City, on February 22nd. 40 teams raised an amazing overall total of $ 17,000. Along with being an event sponsor, four First Trust teams competed for the coveted "Most Money Raised Bowling Trophy" raising $1,410. Michigan Citys Team "The Ball Busters", was number one once again in fundraising for 2014, and is up for the challenge to keep the trophy for the 2015 event! La Porte County Junior Achievement offers classroom programming for kindergartners through fifth grade, as well as eighth and tenth graders. The program teaches students the skills they need to reach economic success, encompassing some 300 classes and 5,400 students in Michigan City, La Porte and Westville.
