Credit Union Awarding $8,000 in Scholarships

vermontBurlington, VT - Vermont Federal Credit Union is accepting scholarship applications from now until April 11, 2014. Two $2,000 scholarships will be granted to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade school or university for the Fall of 2014 or Spring of 2015. Additionally, two $2,000 scholarships will be offered to students of any age who have been accepted to, or are enrolled in, an accredited undergraduate program at a college, trade school or university for the Fall of 2014 or Spring of 2015.� Applicants are asked to write about their student and community leadership activities, what factors lead them to selecting the school they plan to attend, as well as answer an essay question. The complete application and eligibility requirements can be found at www.vermontfederal.org.� Recipients will be notified by June 30th, 2014 and will be selected based on their academic achievements, enthusiasm for their planned field of study, and service to the community. Vermont Federal Credit Unions Scholarship Committee has provided high school students with scholarships for more than ten years and is excited to be able to provide this benefit to its membership.
