Credit Union Treats Members to Evening of Prizes

TEXAS CITY, Texas On Monday, February 17, 2014 AMOCO Federal Credit Union hosted their 77th Annual Meeting at the Charles T. Doyle Convention Center in Texas City.Spring is known to be the season of new beginnings, so AMOCO went back to the basics with a fresh approach for their 77th Annual Meeting. AMOCO employees and members gathered in the Texas Heroes Room at the Doyle Center where the members were stunned to see the room transformed with trees, plants, lamp posts and flowers. Our members were also welcomed by the Clear Brook High School Orchestra. To start the night, AMOCO President/CEO, Shawn Bailey, took to the stage to announce the standout individuals of 2013. The following awards were given: 2013 Employee of the Year - Shanna Criss; 2013 Manager of the Year - Nathan Ashworth; 2013 Volunteer of the Year - Supervisory Committee Member, Ruben Torres; 2013 Member of the Year - Darrell Isaacks; and the 2013 SEG (Select Employee Group) of the Year - City of Galveston. Shawn then briefly spoke about our past success in the "State of the Credit Union Address" before he announced who would be filling the new positions for the Board of Directors. Bob Steel took position #2, Roger McCrary took position #4 and Tim Bulow took position #6.
Following the business meeting, our AMOCO members had time to socialize and indulge in various food items that were prepared by Grand Finale Catering.
In addition to creating memorable bonds and providing an entertaining night, AMOCO supplied giveaways for their members. Everyone was able to take home a foldable chair and the kids left with kites. That was not all though, every member had a chance to enter to win a cash prize. On Tuesday, February 18, 2014, 73 lucky members were drawn to win the cash prize, which ranged from $25-$500. AMOCO would like to thank Grand Finale for their food and catering service, the Clear Brook High School Orchestra for their music entertainment, Behind the Scenes Event Services for the stage props, balloon scape for the lamp posts, and all of the volunteers and members for their exceptional support.
