Credit Union Raises Over $4,500 for Credit Unions for Kids

cascadeROSEBURG, OR Cascade Community Federal Credit Union capped off another successful year of fundraising with their main event: the 8th Annual Credit Union for Kids Christmas Tree Auction & Raffle. During December a forest of mini trees bring warmth and cheer to Cascade Communitys Oak and Harvard Ave. branch lobbies in Roseburg, OR. The stunning trees ranged in size from 18" to 4 and were beautifully decorated by Credit Union staff in a variety of unique "themes". Many of the trees also included goods and services donated by several local businesses and individuals worth well over $3,500. "Our Christmas tree auction has become a very popular holiday tradition and its also our most successful Credit Union for Kids fundraiser each year," said Gretchen Koester, CEO of Cascade Community Credit Union.� "The staff does a tremendous job on the trees and we are extremely grateful for this communitys continued generosity and support, especially in lean times when giving doesnt come as easily." This years silent auction and raffle raised a combined total of $4,513.00! One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit Credit Union for Kids, a non-profit fundraising collaboration of Oregon and SW Washington credit unions, and Doernbecher Childrens Hospital.� Doernbecher, a Childrens Miracle Network affiliated hospital, provides critical care for thousands of Douglas County children each year.
