Credit Union Roller Skating Party Draws Record Attendance and Food Donations

LIVONIA, MI Co-op Services Credit Union recently hosted the fifth Annual Rock n Roller Skate Party for members of the Rock Star Savers program.� Designed for children through age 11, this educational and fun program helps Rock Star Savers learn that saving money, even a little at a time, can totally rock.
The party, held at the Bonaventure Skate Center in Farmington Hills, drew a record attendance of 300 children and family members.� Co-op Services only request for admission were canned food donations to benefit Gleaners Community Food Bank, which helped to raise more than 500 pounds of food to help feed hungry people in the community.
"This family fun event gives us the opportunity to spread cheer to our members and to help those in need during the holiday season," said Jeremy Cybulski, Co-op Services youth and community development coordinator. The party included free skate rentals, games, prize drawings, pizza and pop for everyone.
The credit unions popular Rock Star Mascot made a special appearance to greet kids and pose with them for individual picture-taking.
