Credit Union Brings Santa to Community

GTFCU Meet Santa EventAustin, TX Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) held its second Meet Santa event for the children and Austin community on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at the East Austin Branch at 1180 Airport Blvd. With temperatures outside in the 20s that day, the credit union was warm and welcoming with snacks, hot chocolate and lots of smiles. Santas workshop was set-up for the children to write letters and wish lists for Santa before they got to say hello and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. GTFCU staff even took free pictures of kids in attendance to share with the families. Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union opened the Meet Santa event up to the community to bring Santa closer to those who might not be able to go visit him at the mall, or somewhere far away. East Austin Branch Manager, Jennifer Everett, created the even last year to benefit her community and has been the main organizer of the event ever since. Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union has 17 branches across the state of Texas and is known as Aggieland Credit Union in the Brazos Valley.
