San Dimas, CA - Christian Community Credit Union employees opened up their hearts and participated in two charitable causesOperation Christmas Child and Children's Miracle Network. The staff donated 44 shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, and more. And, in support of Los Angeles Children's Hospital, the staff participated in Miracle Jeans Day by donating $600 to Children's Miracle Network in exchange for wearing jeans.
Operation Christmas Child brings joy, hope, and God's love to children around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes while focusing on the true meaning of ChristmasJesus Christ. "One of the greatest gifts we can provide to each other is paying forward the blessings we receive," said Jennifer Still, Christian Community Credit Union employee. "Operation Christmas Child is an incredible organization that helps us to pass along our blessings to children around the world, and teach them about the meaning of Christmas. My heart is filled with joy knowing that these boxes will help to provide a bit of happiness to those who need it most."
Through Children's Miracle Network, the funds raised for Los Angeles Children's Hospital will help support new facilities, equipment, research programs, patient services, special patient needs, and health education programs benefiting the kids who visit the hospital for every illness and injury imaginable. "It was an easy decision to participate in Miracle Jeans Day knowing that our donation would support the local Children's Hospital and help kids with such diseases as cancer and diabetes," said Trini Mejia, Christian Community Credit Union employee. "It was inspiring to see the donations grow each day! It's a blessing to work with people that want to give back and carry out our vision to make a positive difference."
