Credit Union Employee is Outstanding Volunteer

LOWELL MA Jeanne DArc Credit Union is proud to announce that George Villaras, Assistant Vice President-Financial Risk Management, was selected to receive The Nancy Crocker Outstanding Volunteer Award by the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce.
"We are very proud of the exceptional community service George provides for the region," said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne DArc Credit Union. "George is an excellent example of how one person can truly make a difference in the community."
In giving the award, Danielle McFadden, president of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce, noted that George Villaras has been chairman of the Downtown Lowell Business Committee since 2008 and is a former president of the Downtown Lowell Business Association. He is also an integral part of planning Lowells City of Lights Parade and Winterfest celebrations, oversees the sponsor tent at Winterfest, and coordinates the Downtown Lowell Holiday Window judging and photos with Santa.
"No one deserves this award more than George," said Karon Bergeron, vice president of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce. "The man is just remarkable. He always goes beyond the call of duty."
The award was given on December 3rd at the Andover Wyndham Hotel.
