Credit Union for Kids_CMNHRANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. In addition to all the frantic shopping, the holiday season is also a time when many count their blessings and consider what they can do to help those in need.

In the spirit of the season, CO-OP Financial Services and Credit Unions for Kids are teaming up to provide credit union members with just such a helping opportunity by introducing an add-on transaction that will allow them to make a charitable contribution at the ATM. In this new program, debit cardholding members of credit unions may contribute to the industrys charity of choice, Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals, while they conduct their business at participating CO-OP ATM locations. CO-OP Financial Services is working with its client credit unions now to enroll them in this program and enable processing the CMN Hospitals contribution. "It is a very easy matter for our clients to activate this convenient charitable contribution opportunity for their members," said Stan Hollen, President/CEO, CO-OP Financial Services. "We encourage them to take advantage of this program promptly to maximize giving." "Credit Unions for Kids is dedicated to helping sick and injured children receive the care they need regardless of their financial situations," said Joe Dearborn, Senior Director, CMN Hospitals. "CO-OP Financial Services has been a steadfast partner for more than 15 years, and they have now come up with another wonderful way for credit union members to participate in this great cause." All ATMs directly "driven" (controlled) by CO-OP for its clients are eligible for this feature. Credit unions interested in taking advantage of this opportunity can begin their participation by opening a work order through the client-only Extranet area of CO-OPs web site at www.co-opfs.org. CO-OP Financial Services also manages on behalf of its 3,500-client credit unions the CO-OP Miracle Match program. This program grants $1 million annually in matches to Credit Unions for Kids fundraisers. CO-OP is now accepting applications for the 2014 CO-OP Miracle Match program, which can be obtained at http://www.co-opfs.org/miracle-match.
