CORINTH, NY�- Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) recently presented a $250 check to Craig Falkenbury, Director of the Town of Corinth Youth Commission. The donation was a result of the Credit Unions Community Heroes Program for which a $5 donation was made for each new person that became a member or for an existing member that added an additional service. HRCCU has donated over $5,000 to local community organizations such as Operation Adopt a Soldier, the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club, the Hope 7 Food Pantry and Speigletown Volunteer Fire Department since the program began in April 2012.
"We are pleased to present this donation," stated HRCCU CEO, Susan Commanda. "These funds will help the Youth Commissions summer theatre program provide a creative outlet for the youth in our area."
