Meriwest CU and the Federal Home Loan Banks Access to Housing and Economic Assistance for Development (AHEAD) Grant program sponsored a $30,000 grant to benefit the Peninsula Family Services Second Career program. The grant will help expand the program and provide funds for staff and materials to assist older adults who have been retired for many years, and due to personal circumstances must re-enter the workforce. The program also helps anyone who has had an extended layoff from work and is attempting to return.
