Credit Union Shows Community Support in Multiple Ways

111213SanFranciscoFCU San Francisco FCU held a successful Shred Day on Oct. 19, attracting 48 members. The event featured a shred truck at the credit union's main branch that helped members dispose of 37 64-gallon containers of confidential papers and documents. San Francisco FCU also participated in various charity events in September, raising a total of $6,000 as part of its CommunityShare program. Additionally, 26 San Francisco FCU employees participated in the San Francisco Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society on Sept. 17, raising $3,240 for the organization. And on Miracle Jeans Day in September, San Francisco FCU raised $260 for Childrens Hospital and Research Center Oakland. Also in September, 19 employees participated in the Susan G. Komen San Francisco Bay Area Race for the Cure, raising $2,300.
