On November, 5, 2013, Cornerstone Financial Credit Union, Electric Service Credit Union, and US Community Credit Union presented a check for $31,373.18 from their Fourth Annual Credit Unions for Kids Golf Classic to Monroe Carell Jr. Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt. The three Nashville credit unions have co-sponsored the tournament for the past four years, raising over $86,000 for their local Childrens Miracle Network hospital. The tournament was created to have the most fun atmosphere and be the most unique tournament around, while exemplifying the credit union motto of "people helping people". Each year they like to add a new spin to the tournament to keep their sponsors and players eager for the next year. Other than the benefit to the charity, the best part of the tournament is showing how businesses in a competitive market can work together for the common purpose of improving their community and helping those in need.
