United Partners with The Storehouse to Provide Gifts for 100 Children this Holiday Season

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – United Federal Credit Union (United) employees partnered with The Storehouse to purchase gifts for 100 children in need in Henderson County, North Carolina, as part of The Storehouse’s Blessings in Boxes community initiative.

The Storehouse is a non-profit organization based in Hendersonville. It provides food and hygiene products to people with limited financial resources and, often, limited life skills. Its annual Blessings in Boxes program provides clothing and toys to children as well as coats, hats, gloves, and blankets to anyone in need during the holiday season.

In its seventh year of working with The Storehouse for Blessings in Boxes, United donated more than $10,000 to help purchase gifts and support volunteers. Overall, the program was able to serve more than 750 families, including 2,005 children.

This is one of Team United’s favorite events every year,” said David Crow, United Relationship Development Manager. “We give back to the community every day of the year, but we know the importance of making sure we lend a helping hand during the holidays. Our partnership with The Storehouse inspires all of us and we are proud to be able to support this important program.
