Day Air Credit Union Partners with the City of Kettering to Provide Nearly
$1,000,000 in Grant Funds to Kettering Residents for Home Improvement and Down Payment Assistance

Kettering, Ohio, December 1, 2023 – Day Air Credit Union is proud to share that in partnership with the City of Kettering, they provided nearly $1,000,000 in grant funds to Kettering residents. The grant funds supported a First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program and a Home Improvement Assistance Program which offered low-interest, forgivable loans to help offset down payment and renovation costs for Kettering residents. The Home Improvement Assistance Program promoted the general welfare of Kettering residents by providing affordable and sustainable home improvement options.

Day Air provided Kettering residents with a special lowrate home improvement loan where up to $20,000 was forgivable. Day Air is proud to share that 23 homeowners obtained approximately $293,000 in grant funds for home improvements.

Program funds were used for a large list of exterior and interior home improvements which were approved by the City of Kettering The First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program was designed to assist City of Kettering residents by providing affordable and sustainable homeownership options for first-time homebuyers. This program helped renters and low to moderate-income households reduce the financial burden of getting their first home by providing up to 10% down payment up to $20,000 when paired with a Day Air Mortgage product. Day Air is proud to announce that 40 homebuyers obtained nearly $707,000 in down payment assistance.
