Scholarships Help Students Pursue Dreams
Kellogg Community Credit Union (KCCU) is proud to help local students achieve their educational goals and pursue their dreams by awarding ten outstanding student members with the 2023 KCCU Scholarship! The Scholarship provides $1,000 towards tuition for students attending an accredited Michigan college, university, or trade school.
KCCU would like to congratulate these ten deserving recipients, who each show a strong commitment to furthering their education and improving their communities:

Luke Aldrich is a class of 2023 Otsego High School graduate. During high school he was captain of the swim team, cross country team and ran track. He was involved in National Honor Society, Otsego School Strategic Planning Committee, LINKs, and was a math tutor. Luke plans to attend the University of Michigan to pursue a degree in engineering.

Clementine Augenstein is a 2023 Lakeview High School graduate, where she served as the Business and Marketing Manager for the school yearbook. She is passionate about serving her community and is involved in a variety of community service and volunteer initiatives. She plans to attend Western Michigan University in the fall to pursue a major in social work and a minor in criminology.

Mya Brickley is a Delton-Kellogg High School class of 2023 graduate. During high school she played varsity volleyball, basketball, and softball. She was a member of National Honor Society, and volunteered over 50 hours of community service. She has also volunteered over 200 hours with Calhoun County's medical care facility, starting when she was just 10 years of age. Mya plans to attend Calvin University in the Fall for a degree in biochemistry. She aspires to be a radiologist or physician's assistant.

Kamden Etheridge is a 2023 Lakeview High School graduate. While in school he played varsity lacrosse and was co-captain of the varsity tennis team. Kamden plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a degree in nuclear physics.

Lauren Higgs is a Harper Creek High School class of 2023 graduate. While in school, she was captain of her varsity volleyball, soccer, and basketball teams. She was a member of National Honor Society, Link Crew, and Student Council. She plans to attend Michigan State University to pursue a degree in veterinary science.

Lance Smith is a 2023 Climax-Scotts High School graduate. While attending high school he played on the varsity basketball, baseball, football, and golf teams. He was a member of National Honor Society and participated in his local 4-H club for 10 years. Lance was also a youth basketball coach and served as a referee and umpire for youth games. He plans to attend the University of Michigan, Dearborn to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Connor Vogel is a 2023 Pennfield High School graduate. While in school he played varsity baseball and was captain of his varsity soccer team. He plans to attend Kellogg Community College in the fall for a degree in sports management and will later transfer to Grand Valley State University for business.

Briana Scheidler is a class of 2023 Lakeview High School graduate. During her time at Lakeview she was part of the varsity tennis team, theater, DECA, student government, and National Honor Society. Briana plans to attend Grand Valley State University in the fall, where she will pursue a dual degree in supply chain management and logistics.

Allison Wise is a recent graduate of Lakeview High School and Battle Creek Area Mathematics and Science Center, where she was involved in educational groups and projects, such as the BCAMSC Symposium. She is an active member of her church and teaches preschool Sunday school. Allison plans to attend Grand Valley State University for a degree in behavioral neuroscience.

Nadalie Pratt is a recent Pennfield High School graduate, where she was President of National Honor Society. She also participated in band, choir, theater, the recycling club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, LINK, and was a student representative for the Pennfield School Board. Nadalie plans to attend Albion College in the fall to pursue a degree in Music Education.

The Kellogg Community Credit Union Scholarship Program was established to assist KCCU members who are planning to attend or currently attend an accredited Michigan college or university or are working towards a certification or degree program in the trades at state supported community colleges. 2023 marks the thirty-fifth year of KCCU’s scholarship program, and since its inception they have awarded roughly $185,000 to local students. KCCU’s Board of Directors, Management, and Staff congratulate the 2023 scholarship winners, and thank the many other exceptional students who applied.
