Credit Union Helps Raise Over $18,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness
October 22, 2013
On October 11, Richland FCU's branch in Sidney, Montana, was more colorful than usual, as the credit union and staff supported the efforts of the town's high school volleyball players.
The volleyball team had decided to use their homecoming match as a way to raise money for breast cancer awareness. They designed and sold "Get Your Pink On for Breast Cancer Awareness" t-shirts and encouraged people to come to the game and "Pack the Place in Pink."Richland FCU employees jumped on board. Even though Sidney ended up dropping the match to Miles City, the evening was a rousing success. The gym was packed to the gills with pink, and the effort raised over $18,500.
What a great way to support an important community cause, engender team spirit, and get credit union members involved with the hometown team.
