Teachers FCU Concludes 2022 with $50,000 Season of Giving Donation to Three Nonprofits

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (December 19, 2022) – Teachers Federal Credit Union announces the results of its second annual Season of Giving campaign, donating $50,000 to three nonprofit organizations. The campaign, which launched on Giving Tuesday, rounds out an inspirational year of charitable giving and community outreach for Teachers, totaling over $550,000 in donations.

Between November 29 and December 5, Teachers turned to its members and the greater community to vote on the distribution of its $50,000 Season of Giving funds. With thousands of votes from across the country, Teachers is proud to announce the results of this year's campaign:

• Wounded Warrior Project is awarded $25,000 to support programs serving injured veterans, their families, and caregivers that assist them with mental health, financial wellness, independence, and connects them with supportive communities.

• Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is awarded $15,000 to provide the best care and support to 170 member hospitals. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals offer approximately 32 million treatments each year for kids across the United States and Canada.

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is awarded $10,000 to help change the lives of children facing adversity for the better, forever, by working with children in the community, in schools, on military bases, and many places in between.

In addition to donating over $550,000 to multiple nonprofits, in 2022 Teachers employees supported over 100 organizations through volunteerism.
