Credit Union Raises Funds for Children's Hospital

Somerville, MA - For the third consecutive year, CPCU Credit Union participated in the Miracle Jeans Day initiative during the month of September to raise funds for Boston Childrens Hospital, the local Miracle Network hospital. CPCU raised over $1,500 between donations from employees and its members. CPCU matched the employee donations.
The Miracle Jeans Day collection drive, which ran from September 13 through the 30, allowed CPCU employees to trade in their business attire for jeans on Fridays with a donation to a great cause. Throughout the donation period, branches were equipped with canisters to collect donations from members.� In addition, CPCU used community-related appearances to create additional awareness for the campaign and boost donations.

Miracle Jeans Day is a fundraising and awareness initiative for Childrens Miracle Network hospitals to fund life-saving medical research for the treatment their patients. The iniative is credited with raising over $1.4 million since 2009 to benefit more than 170 hospitals throughout the country.
