dow MIDLAND, MICH. Employees at Dow Chemical Employees Credit Union raised more than $1,100 for charitable organizations through their most recent "Jeans Day" fundraisers and bake sales. For each of the one-day fundraisers, which occur throughout the year, participating DCECU employees donate a minimum of $5.00, which entitles them to wear blue jeans, tennis shoes and logoed attire to work that day. In addition to the donations collected, staff members also organize internal bake sales to support their fundraising efforts.
  • Staff members raised $590.00 for St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, which aims to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a familys ability to pay.
  • Staff members raised $558.50 for breast cancer research initiatives of the American Cancer Society, which works to save lives and create a world with less cancer. The society and its supporters work together to help people stay well, get well, find cures and fight back against cancer.
