The Womens Health Center provides OB/GYN services to women of Berks County who are not insured, underinsured, or on medical assistance. The donations included baby and toddler necessities and a monetary donation of over $770 to help cover transportation costs for the women they serve. "Its wonderful to have the opportunity to give back to the Reading Health System. With our branch being located in the hospital itself, we really get to know the employees and we appreciate all of their hard work. Showing our appreciation is what Diamond Cares is all about," stated Theresa Page, Branch Manager, Diamond Credit Union. The donation was made as part of the annual Diamond Cares initiative. This is the third year that the Reading Hospital Branch has held a donation drive to benefit a department in the Reading Health System that has a specific need. Previous donation drives have benefited the Oncology Department and the Rehabilitation Hospital. Diamond Credit Union is the 18th largest credit union in Pennsylvania and is headquartered in Pottstown, Pa., with three additional offices in the Reading area. Diamond serves Berks County and the Tri-County Region and holds over $400 million in assets with over 45,000 members.
