Credit Union Recognized for Commitment to Community

ChrORINTH, NY - �On Monday, September 9, Hudson River Community Credit Union (HRCCU) was presented with the Corinth Merchants Association Merchant of the Year Award for 2012-2013 in a ceremony at the HRCCU Operations Center in Corinth, NY. According to Ed Byrnes, President, "HRCCU was recognized for their commitment to the community and their dedication to providing quality, outstanding products and service to those who live, work and vacation in the Corinth area." "HRCCU is well known for its great contributions to the community and exemplifying community pride," he added. HRCCU CEO Sue Commanda received the award, saying " We are truly honored to accept this recognition from the Corinth Merchants Association. We are pleased to be a part of such a great community and are humbled to receive this award." The Corinth Merchants Association is a non-profit corporation whos mission is to raise awareness of local businesses, service groups and agriculture, while promoting community spirit in the Town of Corinth and to support, encourage and network with members on endeavors and issues of concern. Their monthly meeting is held on the first Thursday of the month at the Corinth Firehouse. Hudson River Community Credit Unions mission is to improve the well-being of members and their families by providing quality financial services with the best overall value. HRCCU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and governed by its members. Anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or businesses and other legal entities located in Warren, Washington, Saratoga and Rensselaer Counties or the Towns of Cohoes, Watervliet and Green Island and their family members are eligible to join the credit union.
