Credit Unions Around the Dakotas Celebrate Miracle Jeans Day

Bismarck, ND - Credit Union Association of the Dakotas Staff donned their Miracle Jeans Day t-shirts and reported for work on Wednesday, Sept. 18th along with 30 other participating credit unions from around North and South Dakota.� Here are some of the early stories that have been repoted.
Aberdeen FCU staff donned their credit union logo shirts with their jeans, and with the support of their members, was working to raise funds for the Childrens Miracle Network Hospital. The Credit Unions Employee Fund donated $5 for each employee to wear jeans on Miracle Jeans Day!� They also promoted the event with bold signage in their office and on their website. If you stop by this Credit Union on any given Friday, you will see employees wearing jeans. According to Abby Kroupa, Business Development Director at Aberdeen FCU, employees donate $1 to the Employee Fund in exchange to wear jeans each Friday. The money raised is put into an account and used for community goodwill. In 2012, $1,526 was donated by employees through the Jeans for a Cause contribution efforts. Aberdeen Federal Credit Union proudly underwrites all of the expenses of the Employee Fund so 100% of dollars raised goes towards community goodwill.
First Community Credit Union in Bismarck celebrated their fundraiser not only wearing jeans, but their favorite football jerseys as well! �"Since we are in the heart of the NFL season, what better way to show off our colors?" commented Chad Schmidt, Branch Manager.
Town and Country Credit Union of Minot, ND collected $415, and with the Credit Unions match, made a total donation of $830 to the Childrens Miracle Network, reported Shannon Webster, VP of Marketing.
