Credit Union Brings Financial Literacy to Youth

2013 Clark Park Fin Literacy Presentation 4Ferndale, Michigan Bringing financial literacy to the youth in communities is important for the future, and that is why Credit Union ONE participated with the Clark Park Coalition as part of an enrichment series for their summer program.

Yvette Gonzalez, Branch Manager of the Credit Union ONE Southwest Detroit Branch conducted three workshops focusing on financial basics, budgeting, saving, credit, and debt management.� Ranging from junior high thru high school ages, participants received some valuable tools to assist them, and as part of the budgeting session they completed a budget worksheet for themselves. "We appreciated the opportunity to work with the Clark Park Coalition to offer some good financial information to the students of this community and we look forward to our continued partnership," said John Kozich, Vice President of Community Relations for Credit Union ONE.
