Credit Union Donates 12 iPad Minis to Children's Hospital

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (September 12, 2013) NuVision Federal Credit Union announced that it has reached its goal of depositing 12,000 checks electronically this year, and has helped hundreds of children in the process. For every 1,000 checks deposited remotely by members using NuVisions new Mobile Deposit or MyDeposit features in 2013, NuVision pledged to donate iPad minis to local childrens hospitals (up to 12). The public credit union achieved its goal well ahead of schedule reaching over 12,000 electronic deposits in August after just eight months of starting the program.��

With the help of its members, NuVision has donated and delivered 12 iPad minis to Childrens Miracle Network benefiting Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and Childrens Hospital Orange County (CHOC). The iPad minis will be used in playrooms and for educational purposes to help explain medical information to patients and their families.�

Checks deposited with NuVisions existing MyDeposit feature, in which members can scan and upload checks using NuVisions online banking website, were also part of the program.�
