Credit Union Helps Clean Flood Damaged Lots

Minot, ND - Town & Country Credit Union recently�took part in the Minot River Valley Cleanup, an effort to clean up vacant residential lots owned by the city of Minot due to the flood of 2011. �Ten staff members from the credit union volunteered to work Friday morning with mowing, trimming and removing debris from six lots. �"It was a hot and dirty job, but it was gratifying to see the noticeable difference we made after cleaning up each lot," commented Mikki Kremer, HR Specialist at Town & Country Credit Union. More than 100 volunteers helped contribute to the city-wide cleanup effort by working on 80 residential lots over the two-day Minot River Valley Cleanup.
"Im always proud of the immediate response we get from our staff when theyre asked to volunteer," commented Darrell Olson, CEO of Town & Country Credit Union. "Whether it be hosting a food drive, making a donation or getting our hands dirty while volunteering, one of the best parts of being a credit union is that we use our resources to fulfill the needs of the communities we serve."
The Minot River Valley Cleanup was organized and coordinated by Enbridge and the North Dakota Petroleum Councils "Oil Can!" program.
