Credit Union Chapter Makes Donation to Cooperative Ministries Food Bank

Lawrenceville Co-op check presentation-ALAWRENCEVILLE, GA� The Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions has donated a portion of the proceeds raised from their 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament to the Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministries. The food bank and financial support group, which received $750, is just one of the many organizations that will benefit from the Chapters support in 2013.� The Chapter designates charities in the local counties served by its 19 participating credit unions to receive funds from their annual golf tournament.� Charitable contributions by the Chapter total $15,000 for 2013. "Its wonderful that our involvement in the chapter affords us yet another opportunity to support such worthy causes.� Lawrenceville Cooperative Ministries is just one of the many organizations dedicated to helping people in their time of need.� It goes back to the very principals that credit unions were founded on people helping people," said Laura Ryll, Chapter Board Member and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at Peach State Federal Credit Union.
