City & County CU Hosts Shred Day and Donates Over 1,900 Pounds of Food
October 20, 2022
Saint Paul, Minnesota – To help our community protect their sensitive documents, City & County Credit Union hosted a three-day shred event from Tuesday, October 4, 2022 to Thursday, October, 6, 2022 at eight of their community branch locations – Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Lake Elmo, Maplewood, Minnetonka, Shoreview, St. Paul, and Woodbury. In exchange for free secure document shredding, members were encouraged to donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for two local food pantries to help provide for our neighbors in need.
200+ members stopped by City & County community branches to have their sensitive documents securely shredded during our Shred Days event. In addition, City & County Credit Union was proudly able to donate 1,900+ pounds of food to the Minnetonka ICA Food Shelf and the Maplewood Salvation Army Lakewood Food Shelf with help from the generous donations from members and the community.
“At City & County Credit Union, we actively live out our mission – empowering you to do more,” Bailey Germain, Vice President of Marketing, explained. “Although our top priority is keeping our member’s sensitive information safe, in true cooperative spirit, our shred day events continue to show that when we come together to help our neighbors in need, we can make an even bigger impact on our community.”
