Credit Union Helps Provide Backpacks for Kids

The Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union (TVTFCU) recently participated in the "Backpack for Kids Day" sponsored by the Educational Resources for Children, Inc. , both located in Enfield, CT. Volunteers gathered at St. Patricks Church to hand out hundreds of donated backpacks filled with school supplies to area families in need.
"The credit union was honored to participate in this community event. The outpouring of volunteers and donations was outstanding ," said Myrijam Meserve, CEO/Manager of the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union.� "We are always pleased to give back and help where we can."
"The children were delighted to receive the necessary supplies to start their school year off right." added Nina Chrisanthopoulos, Marketing Manager for the credit union who volunteered at the event.
