National Diaper Need Awareness Week was held from September 24th through October 2nd. This week brings awareness to the need of ensuring that all babies have access to clean diapers and other basic necessities required for them to thrive and reach their full potential. According to the National Diaper Bank Network, one in three U.S. families struggles to provide enough diapers to keep a baby or toddler clean, dry, and healthy.
Diapers were donated to the United Way of Central Georgia to assist families that are part of their First Steps and Parents as Teachers initiatives as well as Program Partner Agencies that could use the diaper donations to provide assistance to families in the community.
Robins Financial Credit Union is a local non-profit financial cooperative with twenty-two branches in central Georgia. Robins Financial currently provides financial services to over 249,000 members, with assets exceeding $4 billion.
