Mills42 FCU Helps Kids Sleep Safe and Sound with A Bed For Every Child

We are a small but mighty federal credit union located in the heart of Lowell, Massachusetts. Membership in Mills42 is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Lowell, the northern portion of Chelmsford or the western portion of Tewksbury.
Lowell, Mass — On September 7th, a team from Mills42 was honored to donate their time and talents to A Bed for Every Child, an organization whose mission is to provide beds for children in need. Through their Build A Bed team-building events, the organization uses the power of the community to help them assemble and supply beds for the kids on their evergrowing waiting list.
The Mills42 team built five beds in total for children in the local Lowell community. Teams of two sanded, measured, drilled and assembled pieces of raw lumber to create five custom twin bed frames for five children.
“Replacing paperwork and keyboard typing with sanding and building really put the smiles on our team’s faces,” said Mills42 FCU CEO Derek Cronin. “We had such a great time participating in this worthy cause and cannot wait to get these beds out into the community! We look forward to working with A Bed for Every Child for years to come.
