Credit Union Donates Backpacks and School Supplies

Livonia, MI Co-op Services Credit Union�filled more than 83 new backpacks with school supplies during its fifth annual backpack drive held in partnership with Volunteers of America (VOA) Michigan, 96.3 WDVD and Fox 2 Detroit.
During July and August, Co-op Services collected new backpacks, folders, notebooks, pens, scissors, pencils and other supplies at donation boxes in the credit unions branch offices.� The credit unions team members also raised money for supplies through a "School Spirit" dress-down day.
"Along with the backpacks and school supplies, we received a generous monetary donations from the Downriver Wanderers Classic Car Club that allowed us to present a check of more than $240, ,along with 13 additional filled backpacks from Toyota Boshoku America, Inc., to the VOA," said Jeremy Cybulski, youth and community development coordinator for Co-op Services Credit Union.
"Thanks to everyone who contributed, more students in Michigan will be able start the school year," said Diane Bolton, Donor Relations�and Fund Development Coordinator of VOA.� "Its heartwarming to see the smiles of delight on childrens faces when they receive their backpacks.
