Credit Union Raises Over $5,000 for American Cancer Society

DuPage Credit Union Relay for Life Team Raises over $5,000

NAPERVILLE August 28 2013 Over 30 DuPage Credit Union Team Members and their families took part in the American Cancer Societys Relay for Life earlier this month in Lisle; raising over $5,000 in donations and awareness for this worthwhile cause. Throughout 2013, Team Members raised funds through a Pet Treat Bake Sale, in-house sales of Butter Braid pastries, candy and pretzels, jeans days and other fundraising opportunities. Their efforts helped the Credit Union reach the Gold Fundraising Level. "The Relay for Life is a great cause," said Amy Brandt, Vice President of Business Solutions, "and our Team looks forward to participating every year. Many of our Team Members have been touched by cancer in one way or another, and this is our way to celebrate survivors, fight this horrible disease and remember those we have lost." During the Relay for Life event two Credit Union Team Members were recognized by the American Cancer Society for their personal fundraising efforts:
