Green State Credit Union Establishes Charitable Foundation

North Liberty, IA - GreenState Credit Union has announced the launch of the GreenState Foundation, a member-based 501(c)3 dedicated to expanding the impact of its community investment and philanthropic giving. This new entity has a vision to provide its members and communities with solutions to improve financial health, address the shortage of affordable housing, and sustain our environment. The Foundation also offers a suite of family financial wellness tools called MoneyRight, designed to assist members in living a more prosperous life.   

“GreenState Credit Union has an ability and responsibility to be a leader in enhancing the vitality of our communities, and we realize the creation of a charitable giving foundation is the next step as we grow across the region,” states Jeff Disterhoft, President/CEO of GreenState Credit Union.  

The Foundation’s Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from the geographic footprint of the credit union and individuals with expertise in the areas of impact. “We are thrilled about the leadership the GreenState Foundation Board will provide. These individuals are well connected to their local community and will help us parlay our resources to partner with organizations at a greater extent,” states Tara Wachendorf, GreenState Foundation President.
