Alaska CU League Donates $32,000 to Girdwood Fire and Rescue and Girdwood Health Clinic

Girdwood, Alaska – The Alaska Credit Union League (ACUL) held its annual meeting in Girdwood, Alaska, and during that meeting, members of the 10 participating credit unions held an auction that raised $32,000. These funds were split at $16,000 each and donated to two deserving organizations, the Girdwood Fire and Rescue and the Girdwood Health Clinic.

Girdwood Fire and Rescue is committed to providing the highest level of care and service to their community which includes 172 square miles and a population of 2,800.

The Girdwood Health Clinic is a primary care community health center that helps residents of Girdwood to be strong, happy, and healthy with access to services that help them achieve their wellness goals.

“Girdwood provided an absolutely beautiful backdrop for this year’s ACUL annual meeting,” said Dan McCue, President, ACUL “The two organizations we supported help the community through health, wellness, and safety; I can’t think of anything more important than those things and we were so pleased to assist in their missions.”
