Credit Union Golf Tournament Raises Funds for Partnership Against Domestic Violence

PADV check presentation LAWRENCEVILLE, GA� A portion of the proceeds raised from the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions 18th Annual Charity Golf Tournament have been donated to the Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgias largest nonprofit domestic violence organization. Each year, the Chapter designates charities in the local counties served by participating credit unions to receive funds from the annual golf tournament.� "Peach State Federal Credit Unions support of PADV goes back more than seven years.� Weve provided shelter supplies, donated a vehicle, and made numerous monetary donations," said Laura Ryll, Chapter Board Member and Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer at Peach State.� "This most recent contribution continues our commitment to PADV and provides another example of Peach States dedication to supporting the communities in which we serve." "Peach State Federal Credit Union and the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions�are strong supporters of PADV, and we are grateful for this donation," said Carolyn Booth, Interim President and CEO of PADV. �"We rely heavily on the support of our local business and community partners, and�these funds will help us continue to provide assistance to the women and children of Gwinnett County who have been victims of domestic violence.� On February 20, 2013, PADV moved from the old shelter location in Gwinnett to a new state of the art facility in Gwinnett. �This new facility has allowed PADV to double our capacity daily to serve up to 55 women and children. �Gwinnett County now has the largest domestic violence shelter in the state of Georgia." About the Northeast Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions The Northeast Georgia Chapter of credit unions is composed of 19 credit unions.� PADV is one of 11 organizations that the Chapter supports annually.� The Chapters charitable contributions for 2013 total $15,000.
