WICHITA, Kans. – June 24, 2022 -- Wichita Federal Credit Union (WFCU) has awarded eight students $8,000 in scholarships. Each recipient received $1,000 to apply toward tuition costs for post-secondary education this fall semester.

WFCU began awarding scholarships in 2004 to encourage credit union members as they pursue their education. Since that time, 151 students have received a combined total of more than $135,000 in scholarship funds. Candidates are credit union members and are selected by the scholarship committee based on grade point averages, extracurricular activities, community service, career goals, and a written essay.
