shellDeer Park, TX - The Furthering Community Unity (FCU) Team powered by Shell FCU wrapped up their fourth annual "Supplies for Students" drive benefiting Deer Park, Pasadena, La Porte, Pearland, Clear Creek, Humble and Galena Park Independent School Districts. Throughout the month of July, all eight Shell FCU locations collected monetary donations and school supplies for donation. Shell FCU employees purchased jeans on Thursdays and hosted bake sales to benefit the drive. Also, with the help of a newly formed partnership with Our Community Giving, a local nonprofit organization, the FCU Team was able to raise $500 from recycled textiles donated to the blue bins at participating Shell FCU locations. In total FCU Team rose over $2,200 to purchase school supplies for the designed school districts. Thank you to the community, membership and Shell FCU employees for their support.
