Credit Union Donates School Supplies to Family Center

Pottstown Family CenterPottstown PA - On Monday, August 26, representatives from Diamond Credit Union took eight boxes of donated school supplies to the Pottstown Family Center. The supplies were donated by individual Diamond employees between August 8 and August 23. The Family Services Office will give the supplies to the local Pottstown families they service who are in need of help this back�to-school season. The Diamond representatives were treated to a tour of Family Services' Pottstown Office and educated on the many programs they offer. Family Services is a community partner of the United Way. The Pottstown Family Center, a program of Family Services, offers support programs and services that help families learn, grow and achieve self-sufficiency. The Family Center offers a variety of services for children and families in the greater Pottstown area including Alternative Response Housing Initiative, PEAK (Pottstown Early Action for Kindergarten Readiness), Parents As Teachers Home Visitation, parent education workshops, and much more. "Our employees are always quick to offer their support to the United Way, whether it be through our annual pledge drive, the Day of Caring, or the annual Stuff the Bus donation drive. They know these donations are staying right here in Pottstown and they are all excited to make a local childs back-to-school experience better," stated John Faust, President/CEO of Diamond Credit Union.
