Saint Paul, Minnesota – To help the community shred unwanted sensitive documents, City & County Credit Union hosted a Shred Day event at the Maplewood and Minnetonka Branch on Saturday, May 14, 2022. In exchange for free secure shredding, members were encouraged to donate non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for two local food pantries in our community.

400+ members attended the Shred Day event to securely shred their sensitive documents. In addition, City & County Credit Union was proudly able to donate in total over 4,000+ pounds of food to the Minnetonka ICA Food Shelf and the Maplewood Salvation Army Lakewood Food Shelf with help from the generous donations from members and the community.

“Every time we host a Shred Day event we continue to be amazed at the generosity of our members and community,” Bailey Germain, VP of Marketing, explained. “ Although our top priority is helping keep our member’s sensitive information save, this event truly shows that when we come together we can make an even bigger impact than we could ever do alone.”
